FEASIBILITY FOR REVITALIZATION TRINCO FORT

Heritage economics expert for a feasibility study to assess the development potential and impact and of upgrading and repurposing Fort Frederick and neighbouring Dutch heritage precincts in Trincomalee town. Activities included: proposed development and heritage conservation interventions;  management and maintenance structure; economic, social, environmental impact and associated risk assessment; and advise on appropriate financing mechanism; heritage impact and sensitivity analysis; Heritage Management Plan to ensure the functional utility and additional capacity building requirements for successful implementation of the project by the stakeholders. Part of a larger project by the Sustainable Urban Development Project (SUDP) under the Strategic Cities Development Programme (SCDP) of the Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development – Government of Sri Lanka to ensure sustainability of the Proposed Urban Upgrading in four Cities in Sri Lanka: Trincomalee, Dambulla, Kurunagela and Ratnapura.
