Yangon Sustainable Tourism Hub

Creative Concept: Telling the stories of the district through a series of intimate people portraits of 30 residents in Yangon’s Chinatown. Through app&map&pop-up concept we used the stories to articulate the value of place identity and connect people to places.

Objective: Futureproofing the spirit of Yangon’s Chinatown through storytelling and placemaking while encouraging locals and visitors to treasure the authentic features of the district and keep local heritage alive in a fast changing urban environment

Activities: Digital content creation, design of an illustrated map curation of pop-up exhibition and community sharing event.

Delivered: app&map self-guided heritage trail and fostered 500+ new community connections
