Norris was born in Hong Kong, spent her childhood in Macau and went to university in Australia and the UK where she also landed her first job. Six years ago she came back to her native Hong Kong to do a postgraduate degree at HKU and a subsequent job posting in China made her a true global citizen who passionately embraces cultural diversity. Her professional background is in environmental studies and urban planning, which not only brings a different perspective to team but also adds value to our knowledge products range. She can now share her urban knowledge with the community in a fun-innovative way, bringing people to explore city’s charm before it fades away. An open minded and creative thinker, Norris is your ideal contact point to the world of urban discovery.

Wies Bratby

Wies has spent the better part of her teens and twenties leaving the safety of her native Netherlands to travel the world. However, as her work as a lawyer in Holland didn’t allow for many adventures, it’s a good thing she came to Hong Kong to explore her opportunities here! Wies took on the challenge of business development with Urban Discovery, where she can ‘think big’ to put all the fabulous ideas we have into practice, whilst simultaneously paying close attention to detail, to keep up the company’s high standards. Wies loves meeting new people and discovering new places. And cheese. Wies loves cheese.

Edmond Lam (Hong Kong)

Edmond was born on the tropical Island of Hainan but grew up in Hong Kong. He has and impressive background in the hospitality industry, likes to be around people and is happy to embrace new cultures . Study and travels have taken him on a whirl around the world but his favourite destinations are close to home: Tibet, Beijing and Taipei. Edmond is not only incredibly resourceful but also very knowledgeable about HK culture and food. He loves spending time exploring the different cuisines throughout the territory.

Stephanie Cheng (Hong Kong)

Stephanie is an Amsterdam girl with HK roots. Her dad - an accomplished chef -taught her a thing or two about food, cooking and eating. She is a real food adventurist and can typically be found out & about sourcing HK’s lesser known neighbourhoods for special street food.

Paul Schuttenbelt (Hanoi)

Paul has long left the low-lying shores of Holland, after a number of stints in Africa he now calls Hanoi home. He worked as a trainer for the Vietnamese parliament, advisor for the Hue Institute for Conservation of Monuments and environmental expert for the likes of the UN and World Bank. He is now one of Vietnam’s most frequently consulted urban experts. Paul is a passionate football player and one of the initiators of the Hanoi Youth Football League, the first and largest of its sort in Vietnam.

Nguyen Thu Hanh (Hanoi)

Hanh was born and raised in Hanoi, but is a true global citizen. The list of countries that she’s been to is as impressive as are the languages she speaks: Russian, French, German, English and naturally Vietnamese. Not only does she likes meeting people from other countries, she also enjoys working with them: her track-record includes a Dutch, Danish, Belgian and a Korean company. Hanh is the kind of girl that manages to get the even most difficult things done, seemingly effortless and always with a smile on her face.

Huan was born and raised in Hanoi. He knows all the hidden corners, back streets and other secrets. He holds a degree in social science and humanity and has a particular passion for history and culture. He uses every opportunity to travel and learn more about other cultures, most recently for an Italian NGO.

Tuyet was not born in Hanoi but safe to say she instantly fell in love when she moved there as a student. After working as an Urban Discovery tour guide for more than two years she convincingly conveys to the beauty of Hanoi to visitors, tourists as well as residents with a natural charm. She likes going out, meeting people, discovering different cultures and learning new things.
